About this commission
Head of IFSA News commission is an editor-in-chief of official IFSA publication ‘IFSA News’. His/hers job is to collect articles written by IFSA member, review and edit them, write an editorial and organize everything before printing the final version. It’s essential to know that ‘IFSA News’ should be one of the most powerful tools to share the IFSA spirit among students from all countries. Head of commission is responsible to communicate with other members of editorial board, as well as with other IFSA members and motivate them.
As the head of design sub-commission I wish to let more forestry students know about IFSA, by collaborating with all officials, and I’ll do my best on making new products to promote IFSA.
As the Head of Web Sub-Commission my task is to do magic with IFSA website.
For my term as Head of Professional Development I want to work together with the various LC’s who organise different IFSA meetings and try to organise trainings related to professional development for the delegates to train their respective skills.
My job is to make sure that everyone who is part of IFSA is well informed on the happenings in the organization through social media and also, I keep social media accounts active to disseminate information to the general public
Working within Capacity Development Commission, the Forestry Education and Training Sub-Commission works to advance both formal and informal education, learning and professional development opportunities for IFSA officials, members, and the wider forestry community.
My job is to oversee my commission and sub-commissions, maintain good contact with my fellow heads and also good communication within and outside of Ifsaworld.
In my role I want to communicate with people throughout IFSA to create opportunities for celebrating and sharing cultures, and to ensure that people from all backgrounds are welcome and supported. I hope this will increase understanding and knowledge exchange between the diverse cultures that make up IFSA.
I have taken a new role as a Commissioner of the Forest Education Commission. My role also extends to supporting the work of the Joint IUFRO-IFSA Task Force on Forest Education which shares a lot of commonalities with FEC. I will be the main focal point for communications which is to essentially distribute information about Forest Education and the Task Force activities to the larger IFSA community and beyond.
As the bridge between IFSA and CIFOR for the next upcoming year, my role will be to ensure all IFSA members is well-known about information from CIFOR especially that related to conference, internship and other activities. I will also make sure that IFSA members can participate in CIFOR conference and exploring new ways to make our relationship beneficial for both sides
