CFA - Commonwealth Forestry Association

The Commonwealth Forestry Association (CFA) is the world's longest established international forestry organization. Today it unites 1200 members in 78 Commonwealth and non-Commonwealth countries in a unique international network that provides professional support to its members and forms a key element of civil society.

CFA also offers a lot of awards for students. May be one of these could be of benefit to you?!

The Young Forester Award for example is a great opportunity to improve your ex-curricular education. You can apply until the 31st of decembre 2009 to be selected for a paid intership in a forestry relevant company in fascinating countries. Go to this page to read the conditions (E.g.: this specific award is for CFA members).

In the rest of the year there's also the Young Scientist Award which is very relevant to individual IFSA members who have completed significant researches and could be recompensed for their hard-work through the award.

There's also the Young Scientist Research Award which is designated for students from Commonwealth countries who have an ongoing research that could help advance the knowledge of Forestry.
