The Commonwealth Forestry Association (CFA) is a fantastic organization that unites foresters, scientists, students, NGO’s and policy makers. These parties are supported professionally and are offered an invaluable network of skilled experts from the forestry world.

The CFA offers very cheap membership fees for students as well as several unique youth opportunities.

The Young Forester Award is bestowed upon a youth below the age of 35. The recipient receives a bursary of up to 1500 Euros and is granted a work placement in another country for 3-6 months. The placements are with established and renowned institutions (NGO’s, research organizations, timber companies etc) that provide support and professional development.
