COP21 IFSA Delegation Application

The United Nations Climate Change Conference – Conference of the Parties 21 (COP21) – will be held in Paris, France, from November 30th to December 11th, 2015. This is a particularly important year, as a milestone binding international agreement on climate is expected to be adopted for all nations of the world. The objective will be to restrict the global temperature increase to 2  degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. For more information on COP21 please click here.

IFSA has observer organization status, and as such has the opportunity to be part of the largest climate event of the year! The selected delegation will represent IFSA across gender, nationality, and age. IFSA members from all regions of the world are encouraged to apply. Unfortunately, the UNFCCC doesn’t provide any financial support for our delegates to attend this event, so it is important for those selected to raise their own funds to attend.

The deadline to apply is Saturday, June 14th, 2015, 11:00 p.m. (GMT-5). Please apply by completing this ONLINE FORM.

Besides completing the form, the following additional documents are required:

  • Curriculum vitae (2 pages max)
  • Letter of support from LC President
  • Academic reference letter from a professor or instructor

Documents (1), (2), and (3) must be sent to Paola Coronado, paolacw.ifsa@gmail.com in a single merged PDF file titled lastname_firstname. Be sure to send this information by the deadline, together with the online form.

If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail Paola Coronado or Olivia Sanchez Badini.
