38th International Forestry Students' Symposium (IFSS 2010)

IFSS is the IFSA Statutory Meeting. It held annually in IFSA member country. The IFSS 2010 will be held in South Korea with the theme Forest for Sustainable Society and Environment. This event will be held from 07 - 21 August 2010 and will show you wonderful places of this beautiful country.

EFOL (European Foresters' Orienteering Championships) 2010 in Denmark

EFOL is the international organisation responsible for the European Foresters' Orienteering Championships. The initiative to form the EFOL came from the Swedish forester Leif Strömquist. He wanted to create a summer festival for European foresters. His idea was to set up something on similar lines to the winter gathering of European foresters, EFNS (same same as EFOL but nordic skiing instead of orienteering), which was started in Germany in 1969.

The 17th EFOL will take place from 10th to 14th August in Nymeningab / Denmark. All information (program, etc.) can be found on the website http://www.efol2010.dk/.

EFOL is a great opportunity for forestry students who enjoy outdoor sports (and especially orienteering of course) to meet forestry professionals from all over Europe and to learn something about forestry in the host country (this year Denmark, 2011 will be Norway, 2012 will be Lithuania, etc.).

IFSA - North European Regional Meeting (NERM)2010

We welcome you to experience the beautiful Swedish autumn. With the theme "Future Forest in Northern Europe" we gladly invite you to the North of Sweden to give you insight in Swedish Forestry and the future development.

During the week we attempt to travel through the north of Sweden visiting various places as we go. One of the activities will be a hike in the Swedish mountains.

We invite two students from each LC in the North Europe region and we also welcome students from all around the world to join us as long as we have the possibility to receive you all.

The participation fee is approximately: 90 €. We will do our best to reduce this charge!
