Asian Regional Meeting (ARM) (27 February- 4 March 2010, Taiwan)

Over six days 35 students will travel across Taiwan, exploring different ecosystems, environmental issues and building new friendships.

Southern European Regional Meeting (SERM) (25 April – 2 May 2010, Slovenia)

Students will spend 5 days exploring Slovenian forestry and forests. The opportunity is given for 2 students from each LC in Southern Europe, and is also open to students from Northern European and LC’s all over the world. It is estimated to cost 70 €.

XIII World Forestry Congress (18 – 25 October 2009, Buenos Aires, Argentina)

Every 6 years all forestry stakeholders gather to discuss on important forestry issues, it is considered one of the most important gatherings for forestry. IFSA will be discussing its Global Action Plan for Forestry Education (GAPFE).

Strategic Workshop on Vision, Goals and Targets for Forests in EuropeInternational (21 May, Brussels, Belgium)

The Forest Europe Expert level Meeting (ELM) held in March 2010 in Oslo, Norway, has decided to develop a shared vision, goals and targets for Europe’s forests, as part of the package of commitments for the Ministerial Conference in Oslo on 14-16 June 2011.
Vision, goals and targets for forests in Europe will be discussed at the strategic workshop in Brussels.
