TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY (IFSS 2017) Hello IFSA Members, The Statutes for the International Forestry Student’s Association, just like your LC Statutes, are the laws governing all aspects of our organization. Each year we have an opportunity to amend our Statutes through voting in the General Assembly at IFSS. The amendments to be voted on are those that are proposed and submitted by IFSA members through this call. Now is your chance to propose changes to our statutes. Attached are IFSA’s current Statutes – last approved at the 27thGeneral Assembly at IFSS 2017 in Austria. Please read through the statutes and have discussions with other IFSA members within your LCs, regions or globally, regarding any issues or additions you would like to make. If you have a desired statute change please do the following:

  1. Download the attached Statutes and make your proposed statute change in track changes within the word document. Click here!
  2. Send an email to council@ifsa.net with 1) The Statutes document with your suggested change 2) a short commentary regarding your rationale 3) your full name and Local Committee (LC) name.
Your proposed statute changes will first be reviewed by Council and the Board and then voted on at the 28th General Assembly in South Africa for IFSS 2018. We will accept proposals until April 15th. Have fun reading and discussing! I look forward to seeing your suggestions.]]>
