The position of IFSA International Processes Commission Head has become available to those who are looking for more ways to get involved within IFSA.

 

Commissions are executive bodies of IFSA established by the General Assembly. The International Processes Commission head will be working with Commissioners including sub-commission heads until July 2017. The Head of International Processes Commission must facilitate the participation of forestry students at international meetings, learn how international policy works, and share the experiences.

Tasks of the Head of International Processes Commission:

  • To oversee the activities of the commission as a whole and ensure that the commission is on track with the overall goals of the International Processes Commission

  • Supervise and coordinate with the sub-commission heads (UNFCCC, UNFF, UNCBD, Forest Europe)

  • Work closely together with the IFSA President and responsible member of Council

  • Write reports and articles for IFSA.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Have a high level of self-motivation and strong team building skills

  • Be a current Ordinary IFSA Member or have graduated from an LC in the region within one year

  • Preferably, have knowledge and experience in attending and organizing delegations.
