Open call to host IFSS 2017

Has it ever crossed your mind that the International Forestry Students’ Symposium (IFSS) 2017 could be held in your country?

IFSS offers an amazing opportunity for you and your LC (or multiple LC’s) to share with fellow students, foresters and environmental scientists from all over the world the beauties of forests within your area and your unique culture. It is a chance to showcase your finest forests and forestry professionals. This is an Open Call for all IFSA members to consider this opportunity.

Those who are interested in hosting the event have until Wednesday, the 5th of August to send in an overview with a tentative itinerary and programme, as well as possible dates. The proposals will be presented in the 26th General Assembly in the International Forestry Students’ Symposium’s 3rd Plenary Session, so if you will be unable to attend, please send in your presentation (in whichever form you prefer – video, PowerPoint, etc) before the indicated deadline. It is possible for your LC to join a nearby LC in your country or region to work together in this, as long as the distances are short and realistic for travel.

If you have any questions or comments, or you’re ready to submit your proposal, please send them to Natalia Cisneros. Submissions after the August 5th will not be considered.

Now is your chance to put your LC, your country and your culture, on the IFSS map!
