3rd Asia-Pacific Forestry Week With the theme, “Growing Our Future”, the 3rd Asia-Pacific Forestry Week (APFW) of the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) of the United Nations will again draw hundreds of forestry practitioners not only from the Asia-Pacific region but also from other parts of the globe. The 3rd APFW will be held on 22-26 February 2016 at Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines. Following the success of the two previous APFWs which were held in Hanoi, Vietnam in April 2008 and Beijing, China in November 2011, the next APFW is expected to conduct around 40 individual workshops, seminars and other events that would cater the participation of more than 1000 individuals from the forestry sector. Through this gathering, young people will have a platform for the improvement of skills, showcase of talents and contribute creative ideas for the development of forestry sector. Together with its partner organizations, Environmental Science for Social Change and Asia Forests Network, the International Forestry Students Association aims to maximize the participation of youth in APFW through various youth events and creative activities such as Young Foresters Summit, Capacity-Building Sessions, Forests Fashion Show, and many more! We are inviting young foresters, students, researchers, farmers, development workers, and others to submit their application to become part of the official youth delegation in APFW. Applications for potential funding is also available. Accomplish the online application form before 11 December 2015 23:59 (UTC+08:00).
