The European Forest Institute (EFI), the International Forestry Students’ Association (IFSA) and the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) are collaborating in a joint capacity development project on global student networking and green jobs in the forest sector.

The Dare to Explore! Traineeship
Program is an integral part of this project, which offers four specified,
3-months traineeship opportunities each year for 2019, 2020, and 2021. The
trainee positions are intended to familiarize students of forest(ry) programmes
with work at the science-policy-interface at the international level, including
research, communication, and policy-relevant activities.

With this open call, the hosting organizations are inviting applications by students or recent graduates (not more than one 1 year) from universities which have an IFSA group (LC) (See the attached list for eligible Universities). Candidates can apply for one of the traineeship positions only. Application deadline is the April 21st, 2019 at 11:59 pm CET.

In 2019 the following traineeship positions are available:

DTE_01: Traineeship at the EFI-IFSA-IUFRO Project in Bonn on “Workshop organisation on forest education, employment and green jobs in the forest sector”
DTE_02: Traineeship at IUFRO Headquarters in Vienna, Austria, on Science-Policy Interlinkages for the XXV IUFRO World Congress 2019
DTE_03: Traineeship at the EFI office Bonn, Germany on “Conceptualizing rewilding for forests”
DTE_04: Traineeship at Global Landscape Forum (GLF) in Bonn, Germany on “Guiding Principles to Rights Based Approaches”
