The position of IFSA Social Media Sub-Commission Head has become available to those who are looking for more ways to get involved within IFSA.

Commissions, including sub-commissions, are executive bodies of IFSA established by the General Assembly in any composition and for any tasks. The Social Media Sub-Commission head will be overseeing the management of the organization’s interests in the social media space together with the commissioners under the direct supervision of the Head of the Communications Commission until July 2017. Furthermore, the Head of Social Media Sub-Commission must work on specific tasks and projects defined in the IFSA yearly plan of activities.

Tasks of the Head of Social Media Sub-Commission:

  • Deliver updates including announcements, questions to the audience, news items, and other general notices to both the IFSA Facebook page, Linkedin, Twitter accounts;

  • Respond to public enquiries made against Facebook posts and tweets;

  • Engage with IFSA partners by sharing or retweeting the content from their respective social media accounts;

  • Manage the IFSA Facebook group including the approval of new members and vetting new public posts;

  • Respond to public enquiries received via private message on Facebook and direct message on Twitter, directing enquiries to more suitable contacts if required;

  • Identify new strategies to increase social media engagement and IFSA brand recognition;

  • Work with groups established for specific tasks/projects.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Have a high level of self-motivation and strong team building skills;

  • Be a current Ordinary IFSA Member or have graduated from an LC in the region within one year;

  3. Letter of verification by your LC President stating that you are a member of your LC or an alumni (recent graduate) of your LC.
