Dear IFSA Friends,

 

At the 44th IFSS in Austria, the general assembly felt we needed to better IFSA’s financial opportunities so they established a new sub-commission of Fundraising Support to fulfill that goal. Sub-Commissions, are executive bodies of IFSA established by the General Assembly to achieve tasks under a particular theme. As IFSA continues to grow and expand, our financial needs begins to increase and these funds are needed to support members to attend conferences, Regional meetings, IFSS and undertake projects at the local level. With these reasons the General Assembly felt we needed to better equip members to increase financial opportunities within IFSA and hence they created this sub-commission to fulfill that goal.

 

The Fundraising Support Sub-Commission Head will be working with his/her commissioners to provide funding opportunities for IFSA members under the direct supervision of the Fundraising Sub-Commission head until August 2018.

 

Tasks of the Head of the Fundraising Sub-Commission:

 

  • Help IFSA members regarding fundraising and how to find money

    • Asking LCs for successful ways they have raised funds

    • Create a list of fundraising tools LCs can use

    • Work with LCs and OCs in their fundraising ventures

  • Works closely together with the Head of Fundraising Commission and the Treasurer

  • Explore options for a partnership with an airline company for IFSA members

  • Work with LO Alumni in order to find Alumni or former IFSA members that would be willing to support IFSA

  • Approach companies/organizations for donation

  • Find innovative ways to increase IFSA’s income

 

The ideal candidate must:

  • Have a high level of self-motivation and strong team building skills;

  • Have excellent and effective communication skills;

  • Be a current Ordinary IFSA Member or have graduated from an LC within one year;

  • Preferably, have knowledge and experience in

  • Open minded and willing to challenge

 

Application Requirements

 

  1. Up-to-date Curriculum Vitae;

  2. A 1 or 2 pages motivation letter (stating why you think you would make a good candidate, what are your goals for this role, and what your motivations are to fulfill this role)

  3. Letter of verification by your LC President stating that you are a member of your LC or an alumni (recent graduate) of your LC.
